Ash Wednesday Worship Service

"For you are dust, and to dust you shall return." -- Genesis 3:19b
 

All are welcome to join us in the sanctuary for this special service of repentance and prayer with imposition of ashes. Ash Wednesday is a Christian holy day that carries significant meaning for many Christians as a means of turning our hearts towards God in repentance and prayer. The imposition of the ashes (burned from the previous year's Palm Sunday palms) reminds us of our mortality, our need for salvation, and the period of temptation and testing that Jesus faced in the desert.

For those of you who are unable to attend the evening service but wish to receive prayer and blessing, Pastor Sharon will be outside the main church entrance (weather permitting) from 7:30am-9:30am.
