First Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch
Join us at First Methodist Church of Grandview for our First Annual Pumpkin Patch! The patch will be open from noon to dusk each day and while supplies last. Our patch offers free admission, is sensory-friendly, and is perfect for daycare and preschool field trips. Come take a photo, pick out that prized pumpkin (or a whole porchful!), and make a special memory while supporting the local ministries of First Methodist Church.
FAQs:
Bad Weather Days -- We will remain open during fog and/or lightly misting rain, but our patch will close during hard rains, thunderstorms, or other potentially dangerous conditions.
How Much Do Your Pumpkins Cost? -- Our pricing is set by our vendor, Pumpkins USA, and is based on the type and/or circumference of the pumpkin(s) you choose. We are expecting plenty of $1 minis up to porch pumpkins that would make Cinderella proud. We'll have volunteers available to measure for you so you can make the best choice for your family.
May I Bring My Dog to the Patch? -- Friendly and well-controlled pets are welcome to stop by, but we ask that you keep dogs leashed and well away from the pumpkins to prevent damage and "accidents."
Method of Payment? Refunds? -- Admission to our pumpkin patch is FREE. Our sales team will be equipped to accept Venmo or debit/credit. There are no exchanges or refunds possible once your payment has been processed.
Field Trips -- Our small patch is quiet, easily accessible to parking, and sensory-friendly for young and/or sensitive children. We are perfect for local preschool field trips! If you're interested in scheduling a field trip, please contact the church office at 817.866.3636 or email office@gvmethodist.org.
What Sets Your Pumpkins Apart? -- There are multiple reasons why you should purchase from us instead of the grocery store! A few of those reasons include:
Quality
Our vendor exercises sustainable agricultural practices. They implement crop rotation to limit the need for insecticides and use cover crops to prevent soil erosion and limit the need for herbicides. They use soil-mapping technology, which enables them to use the optimal amount of seed and fertilizer. This allows them to maximize yields efficiently. All products are non-GMO. These responsible agricultural practices mean that we provide a great product, which has less of an impact on the environment.
Conscience
In cooperation with the Navajo Nation, Pumpkin Patch Fundraisers now grow 1,200 acres of pumpkins and employ over 700 Native Americans during the harvest months of September and October. PPF also has a full-time off-season New Mexico staff comprised entirely of Native Americans. This has a positive and lasting impact on a region with 42% unemployment.
Community
Proceeds from this annual fundraiser benefit our children, youth, and other local ministries. We are grateful for your support and thrilled to be a part of your family's fall tradition!
