American Flag Display OUT (Volunteer Sign Up)
Friday, February 12, 2027 (5:00 PM - 6:00 PM) (CST)
Description
Our community flag displays are a meaningful tradition made possible by volunteers.
We especially encourage churches, businesses, clubs, organizations, and families to sign up together. It’s a hands-on service project that builds teamwork, makes the work go faster, and spreads the workload among more helping hands. Individual volunteers are welcome, too!
Flags are displayed five times each year: Presidents’ Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Veterans Day.
Flags are typically placed several days before each holiday and remain up for approximately one week, depending on the calendar. Volunteers are needed for both placement and removal. Flag holders are mounted higher on poles, so a step stool may be helpful for reaching the brackets.
