A great first HER HOUR Womens' event!

I went to the most delightful women’s event with the Grandview Chamber this evening. I have to give a big shout out to our venue host: Stone Trough in Cleburne. This place is a hidden gem! It is so nice. The delicious food is farm to table and it’s family owned and operated. Their wine is good too! (Thank you Kevin for answering my wine questions.) I’ll definitely be coming back (and not only because I won the door prize which had a gift certificate.) Also, look at these goodies y’all! B&B had their ribbon cutting in downtown Grandview earlier this year. Specialty popcorn is such a yummy shareable holiday treat and I got to meet Sabrina tonight so she’s getting our business. Also in the basket is a gift card to a fave locally owned coffee shop Entwined Grounds.

Tonight I also connected with Kristen and Shandee with Creek & Company Salon. I’ve gotten a facial there and it was such a lovely experience. And Connie who has an online health coaching business. Kimberly Capps who’s been doing real estate for years, but here’s where we connected: every year their company picks one Girl Scout to sponsors and they buy 200 boxes of cookies from her. As a long time troop leader, I know what difference this can make for a girl and for her troop. And if the boxes are donated to troops overseas, even better!

I met Tricia and Kaitlyn, well I’d met Kaitlyn before. I met one woman who works with a dr office across from La Cima. Found out about another coffee place I’ve probably passed a lot off of Washington and 67. I’m forgetting few more people because I got all wrapped up in a conversation with my neighbor Cristy who was there representing @grinviewsmiles, which was originally owned by the owners we bought our house from. It’s crazy that it takes a chamber event to get me to sit down and have a great chat with my neighbor. But honestly, we women are busy!

It was so wonderful to connect with everyone. Big big big shoutout to Amy who does so much for our chamber and local businesses. This was a great event!
